Graduations: Information for Students in their Last Semester

Check Your Details on MyInfo

Also see how to obtain a copy of your Academic Record.

You should check that you are enrolled in the correct majors/minors  by clicking on the View Courses link and then the Course Code next to 'Units Sets'. You should also check that your full name, address and email address are correct. International students wanting to change their postal address to an overseas address must complete a Change of Address form at the Student Service Centre counter in the Chancellery Building or at the Administration Building on the Rockingham and Campuses, as this function is not available on MyInfo.

Graduation Check

Check on Request

The Faculty Student Administration offers graduating students the opportunity to confirm their graduation status in advance based on their current unit enrolment. To do this you need to:

On receipt of the Graduation Check Request Form, the Faculty Student Administration staff will check your academic record and confirm by email if you are eligible to graduate with the majors/minors advised on the form when you complete your enrolled units.

Please enrol in your final units and request for Graduation Check two weeks before the start of your final semester to avoid delayed response.

Standard Check

The Faculty Student Administration staff will check the enrolment record of all students who have flagged on MyInfo that they intend to graduate in a particular completion period. This check takes place after the census date of your final semester/trimester. You will only be contacted at the email address listed on MyInfo if your enrolment does not meet your nominated course, major and minor requirements, or if there are any questions.

Incomplete enrolment and graduation details and late changes will affect your attendance at a Graduation Ceremony. Please contact your Faculties Office if you are unsure.

Course Completion

When you complete the course you will receive a Graduation Confirmation letter and Graduation Ceremony Information. If you don't want to attend a Graduation Ceremony you can ask for your certificate to be posted to you.  If you have ANY unpaid fees or fines your record will be blocked, the Graduations Office will not be able to graduate you and you will not be able to attend a Graduation Ceremony.

Graduation Ceremonies

The Graduation Ceremony you attend will depend on when your Faculty Student Administration office advises the Graduations Office that you have successfully completed all of the requirements for your degree (Recommendation for Award). The following ceremonies are currently scheduled.

Graduation Ceremony Attendance Confirmation

There are strict deadlines for Attendance and Regalia order confirmation. The deadlines are recorded in the table of graduation ceremonies above.

Attendance and Regalia Order Confirmations received after the deadline will be allocated to the next Ceremony.

Studying More Units?

If you are going to study more units to complete additional majors or minors, qualify for membership of a professional body, complete a double major or complete another award you should note that:

If you satisfy the requirements of your course and the requirements of one program/major this semester, you will be graduated, you will not be able to study any further units as part of your current course, and any further units that you do study will be on a fee-paying basis, not in a Commonwealth-Supported place.

If you do not want to graduate this semester because you want to study more units in your current course next year, you should change your Nominated Completion Period on MyInfo immediately.

Contact your Faculty Student Administration Office for queries on your enrolment or graduation eligibility or the Graduations Office for queries regarding Ceremonies.
